L. Cohen again
Dedicated to the memory of L.D. Cooper (1954-1990) and to so many poets I've known since silly enough to believe in beauty. All of whom leave me shaking my head at their audacity.

Re: L. Cohen again
Hi Tere,
I tried to fix your link to work but couldn't get it to work either. This is a Cohen song I'm not very familiar with, so I enjoyed listening to it first thing this morning.

Re: L. Cohen again
Yeah. Good bit of lyric poetry. I remember a Canadian jerk from another board. He liked to call Cohen a threshold poet, by which he meant Cohen was a good intro movement into the world of poetry. He was a so-called New Formalist. Cohen ain't no threshold poet and he ain't no intro. He is a test of verve and nerve. Nerve to chase down essentia.

Re: L. Cohen again
I first posted this in a Discussion I thread but decided it would be better positioned here:

Okay. Been putting it off. The godzilla on my back. Guess I'm going to have to turn.
