Terrific! Oh dear, the sociopathy of geraniums? I always have a few of those bobbleheads in my flower box.

Such good stuff, Chris. I could read what you are doing while on the run, but prefer to save up a week's work for when I have the time to take it all in.

In my notes, often jotted down late at night, I have this:

The act of naming cheats us into thinking we know the thing. The act of poetry gets us behind the name, inside the thing.

What you are doing here brings the note to mind.

Beware the bobbleheads! Hey Tere, glad this strikes you as getting behind and inside. Thanks.

I think of the newly done roof,
the recently gutted kitchen, and how
they made a marriage of it.

Chris, this is a love poem in more ways than one. TY for posting it.

PS Is this the aunt who also recommended the movie Shadowlands to you?

I like the body's scaffolding and the body's imperative too. I remember writing a poem once from my own body's perspective. I should look for that. I love your fragments and I hope you keep to this one. I like it.

I like this one too, Chris. Especially "a miracle/of mute support" and the ending. You're doing great, btw. I can't do what you are doing: thinking up new poems out of whole cloth everyday. I need a crutch (stay tuned for my poem tomorrow). emoticon

come and gone. We whistled past

never happened.

Tere and Kat: groan!

Chris: Love the sound effects. I love to cook and love to write -- what a great combo! Maybe I'll try it one day. I can see how cooking would make for a nice ambiance in a story.

So enjoy catching your dailies. Will be sad when April is over. Or can you just keep it up!?

"It's a new phenomenon, the candidates are annoying the people."

Thanks Kat. A garbage truck knocked down a telephone line a block away from where I live and phone and internet went down all day yesterday and today. Kinda sounds like the dog ate my homework, but I swear it's true.

Last one tomorrow, promise,
