Heloise

If she hadn't existed I would have to invent her, and I would fail miserably. Abelard, the greatest Medieval thinker who swatted "away at heaven like a blue-tail fly", and a superlative lyric poet when in love, bested by his lover and most gifted student. Convinced she was a greater thinker than he was. A point he would likely concede. Love the name they gave their one son, Astrolab.

Re: Heloise

Good article, Tere. I enjoyed reading it. The Heloise/Abelard love story has long been a favorite of mine too.
