Enjoyed reading Maxwell's poem. Fits with my current reading of Rhodes' "The Making of the Bomb" about the evolution of nuclear science. It's a lot about the discovery of the atom, the electron, the structure of the atom, the study of light, all this stuff that sort of relates to Maxwell's work. I got the biggest kick out of Updike's poem. Last week it was John Updike on neutrinos. This week it is Scottish mathematican and physicist, James Clerk Maxwell, who is most famous for his theory of electromagnetic radiation (commonly known as Maxwell's equations)." http://physicsbuzz.physicscentral.com/2015/05/physics-in-verse-maxwells-i-come-from.htmlnondisclosed_email@example.com (libramoon)Thu, 21 May 2015 15:40:00 +0000
