Whoa! I remember Clattery said the essay would end up taking on a life of its own. Maybe he was right and maybe he wasn't. Because of the essay I've lost so many poetry friends since that '08 spring. Got to say I'm okay with that. I still think the thing speaks to the poet at the expense of the poetry organization.
