Louisiana 1927

by Aaron Neville. I first heard this song when Neville performed it during the telethon for Katrina victims. Recent events in Haiti brought it to mind again. I love this song to/from the bottom of my soul.

I am trying to find a video of his performance on TV that night but haven't been able to locate it.

Re: Louisiana 1927

I think I get the spirit in which Katfriend posts the link. It is an old Randy Newman song he wrote in the 70s about the great Mississippi flood of 1927. Some may not know that Newman was New Orleans raised. So was Neiville. But my sense is that Katfriend's post is in mind of Port au Prince.

I was in Katrina, remain in Katrina world. I simply can't imagine how the poorest country in the Western hemisphere is going to come out of this other man made disaster.
