Re: Ferlinghetti on Underwear
I just suddenly realized what a poetry nerd I am. I know the couple in the second to last frame. And I know who the woman is in the last frame and not wearing underwear.

Re: Ferlinghetti on Underwear
Oh that was fun, Tere. So who was that naked lady in the last photo? I'm guessing Mrs. Thomas again.

Re: Ferlinghetti on Underwear
Chrisfriend you are good. That is the fiery Caitlin herself. Yet another literary woman I have a crush on. An Irish beauty and dancer. And now I have an excuse to tell one of my favorite stories about her. The Irish poet, Constantine FitzGibbon, was visiting the Thomases in their London flat. The two poets were sitting in easy chairs in front of the coal fueled grate. Caitlin was standing and working in the flat's kitchen area. To show off in front of his friend, Dylan pretended disgust for a poem of his and with manuscript in hand. He throws it in the fire fully expecting Caitlin to run over and save it. But Caitlin knows his ways, knows also she is no wifey. So she continues with the task at hand. Dylan has to scramble out of his chair to save the poem from flames. She was certainly his match, maybe more than.
I am trying to remember the name of a story she wrote after her husband's death and after seventeen years married to him. It was something like 'A Life Left Over to Live.' Her name, by the way, is pronounced Katkin.
Don't ya'll love the way the video ends with her and wearing to underwear? Perfect touch that.
